London Calling

I went there when I was a child. I have some memorie, flash, image. I can remember the river, Buckingam Palace, Hide Park. I can remember a lot of colours (I don’t know why…. did my parents give me some good drug?), a lot of people and the tube. I remember the room of the hotel and how surprising was for me to find in there a kettle.

And now i’ll be back, 18 years later.

How different will be my glance?

London calling guys.

Make decisions for my photo-course

Yesterday I went to my first class of “Portrait: advertising, cinema, and editorial”.
Tomorrow I’ll have the second class: I’ll have to show a portfolio of  10 portrait …. I have been looking and searching and discarding and choosing  and discarding again…. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Participants and professors will discuss the portfolios presented  all together. The topis is obviously “the portrait”
The point is that all the people in the class are professionals or semi-professionals. I am the only one doing photos trying to be a professional. The result is: I do not have any work ready to show. I did not make any professional book or expos!!!!!
ok, I have the solution:
I will show my friend the big gorilla.
It is a portrait and he is really expressive.

I fell in love with it

Last november I went to the Big Apple and while I was in Central Park, I fell in love with this tree. It’s like gold.

It’s like a lot of arms trying to hug the sky.

I love this tree.
I love NY.

(one day I’ll be living there, one day I’ll have a photo-study there, one day…)

Berlin (where I should have been working in today)

Everything was ready. Me, The bag, My camera. Then a call.
“Raffaella, the course has been cancelled”.
WTF.
So the pic of tonight (that should have been a view of Berlin from the Reichstag – as I planned) is me, just me.
No Berlin, no pic.
Berlin one of the most impressive city I ve ever seen in my life. I’ve been there 2 times. This should have been the third one. Damn. Check point Charlie – see you soon I promise.
Well, I have been working from home, my migrany with me as always. Then a couple of our working with pictures (the session I had with my friends last week) at my new PC.
Bye bye Berlin, hope to see you in spring (what the hell the max temperature was -7… what’s this? Antartica?)
